So… for a family who never sit still and who love to travel the world… what will self-isolation look like? Who’s knows – but I thought I would document the journey!
Our first day of work from home (even if my day off) was interesting….
Alex’s “sanity quiz” required for a “work from home task” did not include this question…. (although it was considered)
Question 1: Families on edge, Wife is developing online learning tasks for students with learning needs and wants to debrief, kids want to play with dad, who is home, youngest thinks a tantrum is the best way to manage not liking lunch. Eldest wants to go surfing, workmates want answers to OH & S questions. How do you balance your time, expectations and sanity?
Option 1: don’t
Option 2: Realise you can’t live up to everyone’s expectations, and go surfing.
Option 3: Give it a go and expect to get halfway there.
Option 4: With deft kindness and a spec of humour.
Option 5: Drink Corona
Not sure which Alex chose…. but he was very good at juggling many balls in the air.
Me? I took the eldest to the beach (it was my day off after all) and life felt a little normal.

Highlight for the day: boys created a Ninja Warrior course outside around the back yard. I might have suggested that helmet’s should be worn. 🙂 Thanks Aunty Liss for the inspiration…
