Day 21: Back to work… with no students?!?

Crazy tired, was my “day off” today – not sure how that will work with this new World Order… but was strange to see so many other adults (all very socially distanced of course). My hours/days of work over the break were very worth it. It’s gonna be a crazy roller coaster….

When I finally finished my meetings… and got home (2pm) the boys were “ready” (NOT) for a maths lesson… oh brother. I am a teacher, yet my own kids need so much one on one work! Trying the conjour up ideas/motivation to help them get back into school work. Uugghhh

Oh… posts won’t be so exciting now! Sorry

Day 20: Easter Monday… last day of school holidays

Last day of holidays, what strange ones they have been. I asked Finn, when/if we can travel again would he like to swim with Minkie Whales in QLD or hike in central Australia… his response? Actually mum, can we just always have our holiday here? We live in the best place in the world. Why would we leave.

On our “excercise” walk at our beach it was super low tide and we saw an Octopus!

Was hard to capture… we were captivated for a long time, watching it change colour and shape in a long, narrow, shallow rockpool. One of my best encounters ever… and a first for the boys. Heath said, Octopus are definatly my favorite sea creature ever. Finn said, I think it might just be my favorite animal. A very special family moment and a highlight of our recent time.

Day 18: Saturday… it rained… and rained… and rained!

I got lots of great school work done today.

Wet, wild and windy… a sign of the winter to come… as the bromtide pearls in the distance.

It is refreshing to hear others planning and thinking about future possibilities. If we look forward with flexibility, perhaps we will be ready for what is to come.
